Camps and Visits

Being parented by the Royal Air Force offers our members the opportunity to experience life on an RAF station. Visits to RAF stations are frequent events, whether for sports, flying or visits to operational units. We also welcome visits from outside speakers during squadron parade nights as part of our monthly training programme.

One of the premier events in the Air Cadets' calendar is annual camp where cadets spend a week on one of the RAF stations around the UK - taking part in a full range of cadet activities as well as the opportunity to explore the station. Having attended at least one camp in the UK and reaching the age of 15, there may also be the chance to head overseas on camp - to Cyprus, Gibraltar or USAFE Ramstein, Germany (pictured right) - or other countries around the world as part of the International Air Cadet Exchange (IACE).

The Squadron also organises it's own camp at Easter to promote teamwork, initiative and leadership skills within the Squadron.
